These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Send Dad Jokes mobile application and website (senddadjokes.com), operated by River Trading LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), a company registered in Sharjah Media City, UAE.
By downloading the app or using our service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Send Dad Jokes is a subscription-based mobile application that automatically sends a personalised daily dad joke to your father via WhatsApp every morning at 8:00 AM in his local timezone. The service requires your father's explicit consent via a one-time verification code before any messages are delivered.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using Send Dad Jokes, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to provide accurate information during onboarding, including your father's correct WhatsApp number. You are responsible for ensuring your father genuinely consents to receiving messages — the verification code step fulfils this requirement.
Send Dad Jokes operates on a subscription model:
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your payment method will be charged automatically when your free trial ends, unless you cancel before that date.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Play Store settings.
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Your payment method is required to start the trial, but you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin automatically at the price stated above.
If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, joke delivery will pause. Your father will not be notified that delivery has stopped — only you will be notified via push notification. No data is deleted upon cancellation; your account remains accessible if you resubscribe.
By using this service, you confirm that:
Your father may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any message. Opt-out requests are processed immediately.
You agree not to:
All content, branding, and technology within the Send Dad Jokes app — including AI-generated jokes delivered through the service — are owned by River Trading LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
The tagline "It's not the joke. It's who it's from." and related branding are proprietary to River Trading LLC.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery of jokes, as delivery depends on third-party services including WhatsApp Business API and Twilio. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party infrastructure outages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, River Trading LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months prior to the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive use of the messaging system, or if we reasonably believe your use of the service causes harm to others.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sharjah, UAE, unless applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
